Awesome. Finally bought and read Dungeon World and I’m raring to go. This will tide me over.

I caution against going too far into NPC name homogeneity. I went with Old Testament names for a city in Numenera, and the players balked after the sixth biblical name.

Hey David LaFreniere, I’m liking your Juggalo-themed series of magic items.

Best adventuring gear uses i can remember right now:
Fishing net/blanket: for tangling up a serious threat or capturing a prisoner.
Caltrops: lots of fun
Lard/grease: even more fun
lantern oil: Movie logic- anything flammable is a mini-nuke
…would love to hear more…

That is a really neat concept. Expand the possibilities inherent in one’s inventory without writing a ton of specific, likely useless, things down.

its always fun in D&D when you find no one bought cooking pots or tents or a knife. your 5th level ranger some how survived in the woods for most of his life without a pocket knife?

Steve Mains Expanding the abstraction concept in Adventuring Gear to other types of inventory is one of my favorite recent house rules.

Another great episode. I’m so “hungry” for these! I’ve probably listened to the first one four times.

Yes, the 6- result should be the 7-9. The success is the healing, the sleep fullness is the cost. Also, that cost only applies if there is an ambush, right? So keeping the 6- undefined lets the MC make an ambush happen rather than relying on the Make Camp rolls or their prep.

A few months ago I had the same Adventuring Gear idea as Daniel (in parallel I believe). Here are my examples: https://plus.google.com/+TomWalkerUK/posts/TcYu7UZoVjQ
