Sunday Feng Shui went quite well, although we didn’t have any Gauntlet or Meetup attendees (possibly because of the late announcements).
We did have 3 players, two of whom had never played an RPG before, and 3-4 watchers from among the folks who we in the store.
Definitely reinforced my opinion that Feng Shui works well as an intro to RPGs for new players. Lets them get in and start having fun with minimal learning curve.
Yeah, the Meetup needs at least two weeks to fill a table.

Awesome! Very cool to have new to RPG players.

Was posting this on the Atlas forums, and thought y’all would be interested as well:
Last Sunday, my timeslot was up so I was hustling to get through the final, climactic encounter. Eliminated all the mooks, and just put the PCs up against a featured foe and the boss. I was really looking to wrap things up quickly if at all possible.
And we have a well-timed die explosion. The Masked Avenger (who had never played an RPG before) managed to roll a +35 bonus against the Featured Foe.
The bad guy, “Dayglo Cho”, who was dressed as Capone-era gangster with glowstick piping for Halloween, was blazing away with his Tommy Gun. The MA stalked up to him as he fought to control the recoil, grabbed the barrel of the gun, and pushed it up under Cho’s chin. All that we left was a blood-spattered, bullet-riddled fedora.
I loved it, it was great timing, and it gave a brand new player a really memorable final moment for the game. 🙂
