We’re currently fiddling with the format of the podcast, and we’d like to get some feedback on what you’d like to see (hear?). Do you have ideas for new segments; are there certain types of topics we’re missing; do you have a great idea for a topic? That sort of thing.

  1. First and foremost we need more inclusions of the lube cube. Secondly I think a segment that highlights new and promising projects in the rpg scene like kickstarters or patrions that catch your eye would be interesting.

  3. It seems pretty solid so far! IIRC it’s three parts, right?

    What We Played

    Giving Me Life

    Main Topic

And I’m not really sure what I’d add to that. Those are super-solid segments, and I don’t know that the podcast needs any more.

Topics, though, hmm. I’m trying to think if I’ve noticed any big gaps in the topics. It might be cool to see some coverage of the older indie games. Oh! And it’d be cool to see an episode about some of the stuff done by the women in RPG design. And maybe translated RPGs (I’m thinking of Japanese RPGs primarily) as another topic.

  5. We’re probably going to test-drive a few new segments next week. I think the idea is that we stick to three or four segments each week, but not necessarily the same ones every week. We’ll still always do What Have We Been Playing, but we might switch out Giving Me Life or the Discussion segment with something different on any given week.

  7. The hard thing about Giving Me Life is coming up with something new every week. If we did that segment on a bi-weekly basis, it would be much simpler. We may leave it in every week, but just have the guest host contribute something on the weeks when Dan and I don’t have anything new to contribute.
