Do yourself a favor and play The Society of Dreamers by candlelight. Last night, Friday the 13th, was the second time The Gauntlet has done so (the first time was last Halloween), and it was incredible. The game already does a terrific job of making you feel like you are investigating a creepy, Lovecraftian mystery (about a hundred times better than CoC does), and the effect is magnified when you’re playing in the dark.
Thanks to Daniel Lewis Ferrell Riley and Steve Mains for joining the strange, unsettling journey last night.
I’m so sad I had to miss this… Can’t wait to hear more about it

I don’t think we can accurately describe it. It was very much a thing to be experienced.

.Just bought it right now! Listening to y’all talk about it before got me thinking about it, but this pushed me over the edge.

Loved it. All-time top 5 gaming experience for me.

Put up some of my thoughts on the game (and Black Stars Rise) in a #51in15 post here: https://plus.google.com/u/0/+SteveMains/posts/RfqXw3YJn5Y

Steve Mains That’s a pretty good write-up. I would like to suggest you re-format/edit the Society one and post it in our Hall of Legends 🙂
