Episode 0 of our podcast has arrived! It’s called Episode 0 because it’s really just a test, but Daniel Lewis and I are pretty happy with how it turned out. I’m a little nervous in the beginning (which causes me to speak fast and say ‘umm’ a lot) but that levels out once we get a little deeper in. There are also a few pops and hisses here and there but, overall, we’re pretty happy with the audio quality. It’s certainly a good first effort.
I think you’ll enjoy it. The main topic discussion is particularly good. If you’re interested in participating in future episodes, or if you just have an idea for a topic, let us know!

Wow, dibs on the fat guy who breaths heavily into his mic position. All the good rpg podcasts have one

Will this just be talking about games or an ocasional episode of actual play?

Daniel Fowler There are no plans to do actual play. We’re trying to fill a gap being left by Walking Eye, Jank, and other RPG theory podcasts that haven’t updated in awhile (or only sporadically).
Russell Benner That is mostly up to Daniel Lewis. We record at his house and he is currently doing the editing. I’d like to do weekly or bi-weekly, but I’m also mindful of the fact that I’m just showing up and talking.

I’m thinking weekly or bi-weekly as well, depending on how efficient I can get the editing process. It’ll probably be another episode or two before I know how long the editing will realistically take.

Daniel Lewis good rule of thumb: editing takes at lease twice the amount of time of the podcast length, unless you’re really fast and efficient at it, in which case assume 1.5 the time of the podcast.

I’d love to join in on a recording if I could make it jive with my schedule. This is a great idea one way or another. I should be able to listen to the episode today.

Excellent job. I like the topic, too.

I’d say probably a bi-weekly schedule.
I just have to make sure I’m in the right podcast.

Finally got to listen to this while stuck at school grading, listening to you guys made it much more enjoyable!

Placing this in the right area:
I’d love to be involved as your “Japanese Culture Expert”
As for tech noir, as the problem player I think what threw me off is having a hack skill, and trying to use it much like one would in a traditional game such as shadowrun. I do notice that in social confrontation games I still try to run to the “safe zone” of the tech user.
