If anyone wants to come out to Wednesday One-Shots, I’ll be running a session of Pathfinder. For those of you who don’t know what Pathfinder is, it’s about groups of people with poor impulse control. The characters are usually small-time criminals with a shady past, but sometimes they’re just normal folks caught-up in tragic circumstances. A good comparison are the films of Joel and Ethan Coen – but with an RPG twist!

I love Pathfinder. The emphasis on fast character creation, free-flowing narrative play, and relationships between PCs are what make it really stand out in the crowd. To me, the best RPGs are when you rarely touch the dice. Well, in Pathfinder, you are guaranteed to never roll the dice more than three times per session. 

So come play Pathfinder! We’ll begin searching for all the paths tonight at 7:00 pm at Jax Grill!

  5. Your description does not match my experience in the slightest; not even remotely. I thought for sure we were talking about 2 separate games. Now I am hopeless confused 🙂

  11. I suspect Jason Cordova is having us on, and is actually speaking about Fiasco, a far better game than Pathfinder IMNSHO. 

    I think I just broke a rule, there. Somebody spank me.
