I was looking through old RPG content I have saved, and found this item for the Dragon Age Tabletop I created. Check it out:
Branch of Organized Chaos: The branches ability affects only spells from the primal school of magic. Initially, the branch is a bare staff with a solitary leaf. The mage can affect the dice roll of a primal spell by changing a die by +1/-1. If the die is changed positively, the top of the branch withers and decays, the leaf wilting and the wood dying. The mage must negatively change his next primal spell dice roll. If the die is initially changed negatively, the branch becomes alive with leaves and resembles a forest canopy. The next primal spell must be changed positively. After being forced to change the die roll, the branch returns to it’s solitary leaf state allowing the mage to once again affect the roll of the next primal spell in a way of their choosing.
I don’t know enough about Dragon Age to comment on the mechanical effect (I’ve only played it once) but the fluff is nice.
