I was looking over your events calendar and it looks like the bulk of your events take place in “meatspace” instead…

I was looking over your events calendar and it looks like the bulk of your events take place in “meatspace” instead of online. Unfortunately, I live in MO and I can’t exactly drive on over to join in the fun 🙂 Many of the players in this group seem like they really know their stuff and you play many of the games that I would be very interested in checking out (the bulk play Pathfinder in my area though we have been pushing into more interesting titles). Do you anticipate adding more online activities down the road? If there were particular games that I would like to bring to my area but lack the hands-on experience with, would any of you consider helping spread the joy by hosting an online game (to gain experience with the system)? Or, if that wasn’t of interest, would you instead be willing to sit in on a game as I try to stumble my way through some of these new books I have? I’m going to continue to look for groups out there that match what I seek but I figured it couldn’t hurt to atleast put out my feelers so to speak 🙂

  1. Yep, the bulk of our events are in “meatspace” as The Gauntlet was created to promote gaming in the Houston, TX area, that said we do occasionally run online games but they tend to be the exception.  If you’re looking for online games I know of several G+ communities that focus on them.

  3. Ideally, I would prefer to play face-to-face and what I have seen from this group has enticed me (can’t say the same for many of the online focused G+ communities). I’ll just keep an eye out and see if any of those online opportunities come up. Thanks!

  5. Sean Smith I have been organizing more and more online games. Just keep your eyes open. I’m thinking about something on Thursdays starting in mid-November. I’ll keep you in the loop.
