I would like to host a special game night at my place on Halloween night. Obviously, a horror-themed game would be great. Does anyone have any suggestions about which game to play? Would anyone like to run the game that night? Off the top of my head, games that would be good are: Dread, tremulus, Fear Itself, Trail of Cthulhu, InSpectres, MotW…Any thoughts?

That could be fun, but it’s a Thursday evening. I’ll have to check my calendar to see if I’m working Friday. If I’m available, I could run something if no one wants to.

Also, Little Fears sounds like it would be a hoot to play. Not that I own the game, mind you, or have ever played it before. 🙂

Mark Chance Little Fears looks pretty good. I’ve never played it either. When do you think you could give a definitive answer in terms of your calendar?

Probably later today. I head back to work in a couple of hours.

Board/Card Games: Gloom, Elder Sign, Arkham Horror, Pandemic (for a more realistic horror), Last Night on Earth, Blood Bound should be out by then (vampire-themed game similar to The Resistance), Study in Emerald (print-and-play beta version is online somewhere)
RPGs: World of Darkness variants, Call of Cthulhu, All Flesh Must Be Eaten, Ravenloft, several different Shadowrun adventures/campaigns (insect spirits and shedim especially), and Deadlands. You could also do a horror-themed Fiasco playset (either make your own or there’s a couple on their website).

Jason Cordova: I don’t have All Saint’s Day off (1 Nov). I might take it off since I don’t like working on holy days of obligation. So, for the moment, I’m a definite maybe.

Hmm… I might just make it a Halloween Gaming Party. My house is freakishly big, so I could probably set up a few tables with games at each. I could also make it a Friday thing in order to increase turnout.
