The is cost involved, but in my opinion you get what you pay for.  I’ve bought the unlimited license which lets me host and run multiple games…and doesn’t cost players anything to join.

I’ve successfully used it to host the following games

Basic D&D

Advance D&D

DnD 4e (it’s excellent for this version..as it handles all the little things, and actually speeds up the game)

Warhammer (1st and 2nd editions)

Savage Worlds (in which I ran Deadlands Reloaded)

Anyone else have experience with this one?

  1. I haven’t had any experience with this VTT. I mostly use Roll20 and I have sat at tables using MapTools. I would certainly check it out if you ever offer a game to the public.

  3. I once joined a game hosted by someone with the license.  I found it a little confusing at first but I had never used anything else like it and they walked me through it.  It seemed to do everything we needed it to do and didn’t lag or conflict with mumble

  5. I’ve never used it, but I’ve read up on it a bit, from what I’ve heard it’s got a reduced hardware requirement compared to Google Hangouts & Roll20.

  7. I’ve used it with Scype, Mummble and Vent with no conflicts, and it has the best Dice Rolling app I’ve seen of any game.  For those that would like, I can fire up a session this week and let you poke around in it.
