Good article. It makes me feel good about what we’re doing with RPG Gauntlet, which is to say giving people access to games who might not be able to get a regular home group going. But also, because we vary the games, it avoids some of the bad player behaviors the author mentions (min/maxing, the need to “win” and so forth). Even hygiene and personality issues haven’t really cropped up. Generally, everyone who shows up is a respectful and decent person.
Which means you should all go check the Events section and find a game to go to!

Hygiene has always been my big deterrent from game stores in the past. There was always “that guy” that never bathed and you knew it just by being in the same room with him.
