I actually played in a Pathfinder game today, I found the system much more enjoyable as a player than as a GM.

I find that true of almost any game, honestly. Not that it’s inevitable, but GMing does mean a good deal more direct contact with the rules as a whole, which yields more opportunities for irritation.
In my experience, anyway.

I agree with Theron here. I’m willing to be a player in nearly anything. I’m not willing to DM anything though!

As I’ve said elsewhere recently, my favorite edition of D&D is whichever I’m playing at the moment, my least whichever I’m DMing at the moment. 😀

I really love GM’ing (not Pathfinder, mind you). But I also mostly run games that require very little prep, so that might be why.

I’m a very improvisatory DM myself (and love running games), and don’t enjoy doing much prep work. I like to play Pathfinder, but hate running it. Luckily I’ve got a solid OD&D group I get to run, so I’m happy.

I find that a good/bad GM will make/break a game. People that “hate” editions… I don’t buy it.

Kerry I switched over to pathfinder after years of playing 3.5 and just like any other system I’ve had good or bad experiences. But, I for sure never want to pick up another 3.5 game after all the great times I’ve had with pathfinder.
