  1. I think I was mis-reading a rule when I looked at the summary before the link. But honestly I can’t figure out what this brings to the table. If it’s some attempt to create a “universal” RPG based on AW, that’s pretty misguided. The whole point of playbooks and moves is to give the game a certain feel. Apocalypse World and Monsterhearts, for example, feel NOTHING like Dungeon World, even though they are ostensibly the same system. It’s the specific move sets that make them what they are. I have always had a distaste for universal systems because, while they can do a lot, little of it is done very well.

  3. As I read through this a little more, I can see the appeal. I’m still troubled by the idea of GURPS Apocalypse World, but I can see why some people would find this attractive. I’d be curious to find out if this has actually been play tested.
