You know, it’s not a bad idea–for OSR games or otherwise. Figuring out marching order is pretty obnoxious and breaks the flow of the story. I’m going to toss marching order altogether for Dungeon World. You really only need it for games on squares.
I’m putting marching order on the list of things I increasingly can’t stand in games. The rest of the list:
Initiative/turn order (AKA “fun death”)
GM dice rolling
Character sheets without a list of names on them (mostly kidding, but they are handy)
