Alex Camacho Thanks. I’m a big believer in getting little kids started on gaming as early as possible. There is a game that was successfully kickstarted a few months ago called Story Realms that I think will create a whole new generation of RPG fans. I can’t wait for it to come out.

I’ll have to check it out. My 5 year old daughter LOVES games. She especially loves Fireball Island. 😀
My 14 year old has a few friends who want me to run them through D&D. I’m hoping they’ll look at my shelf and want to try some of the other systems there. 🙂

How precious!! It is important to have kids start playing games early. Unless it’s my oldest son (who is 16, mind you!) and you just played Munchkin with him. In that case, you will leave the table with a weird twitch in your left eye…

I’m calling truce with Michael Benningfield. Alex Camacho I think you should run D&D for them. The hobby owes a lot to that game, and I think everyone should experience it. Hell, even my sisters, who are not RPGers, have played it (though they do love Fiasco and Monsterhearts now).

All for kids starting early. Have 4 myself, who the earlier they start playing the sooner the wife won’t mind me playing 🙂

Jason Cordova I’ll definitely let them pick the game. They asked for D&D so that’s what I’ll run. It’s not a horrible system and I plan on running it a little rules light anyway (combat takes too damn long). Again, the system really isn’t that important. Are you having fun? Then you’re doing it right. 😀
