Hello – posted this in the Slack already, but wanted to check in here to see if anyone’s interested. I think this game requires just slightly too much commitment to be a Gauntlet hangout, but this seems like just the right group to ask.

Looking For Group

System: DramaSystem

When: Thursdays @ ~6pm-9pm EST (UTC-4)

Where: Google Hangouts + Roll20

Hello! I’ve been dying to run or play DramaSystem, but I have never been able to pull a group together. I was wondering if anyone here would be interested in playing a short 5-10 session arc with me! Let me know if you are interested, and let’s try it out!

Well, the next session of this campaign is in about 5 hours and I’ve finally gotten the report finished.

Well, the next session of this campaign is in about 5 hours and I’ve finally gotten the report finished. There wasn’t much in the way of a fight at all this time, nor really any need to use social skills. We spent sometime in the cells and then were released.

I’m a little suspicious about how easily Azu was woken up, but it might just have been that easy once we got to Nakatari.

Lessons from Doskvol

This last Friday marked the 16th session of our f2f Blades in the Dark campaign. In April, I begin an online Blades campaign using the Iruvia setting. I’ve found Blades easy to learn, but challenging to master. This post covers some lessons I’ve learned and things I’ve noted. YRMV but I want to point GMs (and players) to some considerations.

Okay, so I’ve been in this group maybe two months, checking regularly, looking for games.

Okay, so I’ve been in this group maybe two months, checking regularly, looking for games. And like, hey, I thought there would be more games posted here, but maybe something will come up.

Then I realized there is an RSVP site with like a million games. (Yay!)

Can we make it more obvious where to find the actual games, maybe by pinning something? The sidebar is . . . subtle.

The newest episode of Discern Realities is here!

The newest episode of Discern Realities is here!

The newest episode of Discern Realities is here! The conversations in this one are really fantastic, some of the best we have had to date. In the first segment, I share a bunch of wide-ranging thoughts on a new campaign, including the use of Johnstone Metzger’s Class Warfare. In the second segment, we talk about Oli Jeffery and Rob Bullen’s Alford Soultaker AP. The third segment is about creating a play culture that embraces adversity. In the fourth segment, we read another contest entry. In the final segment, we have a really fun, action-packed bit of play with St. Evelyn the White.

Enjoy!

We’d like to do some crowdsourcing for the Miscellany in Codex – Love 2.

We’d like to do some crowdsourcing for the Miscellany in Codex – Love 2.

We’d like to do some crowdsourcing for the Miscellany in Codex – Love 2. The Miscellany is called “Three-Dozen Men Who Need to Be Rescued.” Submissions need to be a single sentence, or 2-3 short sentences. By submitting here, you’re agreeing to let us use it (you’ll get a credit on the issue).

Your men who need to be rescued can slot into any genre, but you need to include the following pieces of information: Their name, their current predicament, and what will happen if they are not rescued in time.

Here are some examples:

“Prince Lomaran, Son of King Lomar, is presently being held captive by the pirate queen Jalussa the Merciless. If King Lomar refuses to yield the throne to Jalussa, she will sell Lomaran to an emperor from a faraway land who enjoys adding exotic treasures to his harem.”

“Johnny Devayne, a pampered A-lister who accidentally stumbled into the middle of a real-life arms deal in Tunisia while filming the third entry in his spy thriller series, Dead 2 Rights. If Johnny is killed, not only will his millions of adoring fans mourn him, but his newborn daughter, Chrysanthemum Starlight Devayne, will spend countless melancholy hours getting to know her daddy as best she can through DVD, Blu-Ray, or Video On Demand.”
