I’m putting the same warning here that I put on Gauntlet Hangouts: G+ is not sending email notifications of new events right now. I put up several events today, but you may not have been notified. To be safe, go to the Gauntlet Hangouts community and check the Events section.

Apologies for the lateness, but here are our pictures from the Last Wednesday Night Gauntlet Session for 2015! Thanks to Scott Owen for running Funnel World, and to Daniel Lewis for running Elf Quest, which appeals to both the holiday spirit, and his love of murdering elves.
First, I’m a huge fan of the podcast. It has introduced many games to my group that we would have never known about. I wanted to share that we are doing a Gauntlet favorite this week. We are running Final Girl as our holiday game. We are re-skinning it to “The Final Elf” setting it in the North Pole. Players will be victim Elves dying in gloriously bloody Holiday ways. Knowing how much Dan loves elves this is a tribute to him 🙂 Wish us luck!
This may be a tad early, but I want to wish the Gauntlet community a very merry Christmas.
This may be a tad early, but I want to wish the Gauntlet community a very merry Christmas. I’ve had a skin full of booze today at an office party and I’m feeling both festive & warm and fuzzy. You guys have given me a shit load of life this year. Thanks a million guys x.
Last night we finished our third session of The Dark Shard of Nemrath.
Last night we finished our third session of The Dark Shard of Nemrath. I’m really happy with how this series is going. It has all the hallmarks of the best Dungeon World games I’ve run: a healthy dose of looming dread; seamlessly incorporated contributions from the players; quick, punchy action; and plenty of custom loot.
I’m also happy with how the DW Adventuring Company aspect is taking shape. The party has discovered certain things, and has taken certain actions, that could have profound effects for the entire Company if the players choose to pursue them. I know that’s exceptionally vague, but trust me when I say these events promise to add depth and continuity to all of the Gauntlet’s DW sessions, which is precisely what I had in mind with this project.
Anyway, kudos to the players, who are very close to finishing the adventure and on their way to a well-earned Carouse move.
Or they could all just die when they face the elder god in Session 4.

If you are involved in Company of the Three Kings events, I will be pestering you over the next few days to update the Company Book. Most entries are up-to-date, but we still have a few stragglers…
I had a great time hanging out with Daniel Lewis and Houston Gauntlet this week.
I had a great time hanging out with Daniel Lewis and Houston Gauntlet this week. I was in town for our annual Krampusnacht holiday party. We drank, played games, did our Secret Satan gift exchange, and then got Mexican food for lunch the next day. It was a blast, and I really enjoyed seeing these guys again.
