Anyone out there familiar with Tenra Bansho Zero?

Anyone out there familiar with Tenra Bansho Zero?

I am fascinated by this statement: “An entire campaign, a story from start to finish, can be told over the space of one to two sessions!” yet the 696 page rulebook intimidates me.

Thanks!

  1. I’ve read it, and with the structure it has, I can imagine doing that. It has some weird game tech that I haven’t quite grokked. I need to watch the AP video that’s out there. If you’re looking at the Anime Blast Bundle of Holding, I’d say its worth picking up.

  3. I am looking at the Anime Blast BoH, but I already own Blade Bind, Teenagers From Outer Space, and OVA. Tenra Bansho Zero is the only other product on there that really intrigues me… except for that 696 pages hang up of mine.

  5. If I remember it right, would have to check my shelf after work, its more 300 pages rules and 300 pages setting.

It is as well very well written. Like while I usually hesitate to actually read my Kickstarter catch, I read TBZ (even rather fast).

  7. Thanks for the info. Anyone have any comments on “an entire campaign in two sessions”? Half the time my players take 3-4 sessions to play the equivalent of a 5 Room Dungeon!
