Hello all Dungeon Worlders!

Hello all Dungeon Worlders!

Hello all Dungeon Worlders!

I’ve been muddling away at a piece of software for those DW GMs who use Mac OS X. Here’s the link to a publicly-editable Google drive folder that contains the DMG and a document to leave comments in:

This is a pre-alpha release of the software but some major features work already. If you decide to play with it or generate some content with it, please do leave bug reports/feature requests in the Doc in the folder. You can also feel free to upload anything you feel is related to improving the program.

Also, if you think this post belongs somewhere else, please do reshare it!

Thanks for your time!

  1. Ray Otus A very good question! Right now, it allows you to create, and print, monsters and fronts. It has direct editors for both and digital versions of the questionnaires for both. I plan to add steadings and moves. After that, I wanted to see what people wanted and work off a request list, assuming people like it.

  3. hmm, i have to press control and select open to get past my security because the app is not registered in the app store. Then i get the icon at the bottom but nothing happens. I am not super used to working with a mac yet

  5. Daniel Fowler This is something every Mac person needs to know. System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> click the lock at bottom left and enter your password -> under Allow apps downloaded from: select Anywhere. Not sure if it will fix your problem here, but you are bound to run into it in the future.

  7. Don’t ever do what Ray Otus just said. (Unless you want any bit of malware to run.)

Instead, when you have an unsigned app, right click on it and pick “Open”. This will give you a different message than double-clicking on it will, which will allow you to enter an admin password to add an exception for that one app.

  9. Daniel Fowler’s post pointed out a stupid mistake I made that won’t make the window appear when the program starts. It’s not you Daniel! A new version will be posted shortly.

  11. Daniel Fowler new version should open a window for you on start, my bad! Lester Ward new version signed with my company, don’t know why it didn’t automatically, might have to do with them updating the membership agreement AGAIN. Thanks for the comments all!

  13. Rich Glover Please do and let me know if something is unclear. Also, if you’re not already, I suggest testing the printing by opening the result as a PDF in preview instead of printing directly. The printing system is what I’m working on right now (I want to be able to print multiple items per page) so input about printing problems is great.
