  1. At the risk of getting tele-punched, D&D can work well as a 2p game.  Why?  Because having one player dramatically decreases the complexity.  No need for grids, no need to worry about mechanics outside of their class.

    That said, it’s not a great system for it.  It’s just that much of the “bad” stuff about D&D are abstracted away in solo-play.

  3. Burning Wheel works really well for 1gm, 1 player. With the BITs driving the game it’ really focused and easy to run. I ran a great game like this last year, and ppsted some Youtube videos
